The Tipton County Emergency Communications Center
is now accepting applications for Dispatchers. Would prefer experienced but not necessary. Must be 18yrs of age have a valid drivers license, no criminal record. Applications can be picked up at 220 Highway 51 N, Ste 4 Covington, TN. You can also download an application here. We currently have two positions available. Must be able to work ANY shift. All applications must be returned by Friday February 10th by 4pm. Tipton County E911 is an Equal Opportunity Employment.

The map will be updated daily with select crime data for a two-week period, and will be back-searchable through January 2006. The system will allow you to enter your email address to receive automatic alerts of crime in an area of interest to you. Data only covers the TCSO jurisdiction.

Little Miss Tipton County Pageant & Miss Teen & Miss Junior Teen Pageants - February 4, 2012 (Saturday) - Little Miss begins promptly at 3:00 p.m., for ages 0-12 years. Miss Teen and Miss Junior Teen Pageants begin promptly at 7:00 p.m., for girls ages 13-18. Please check the Miss Tipton County Scholarship Pageant facebook page for applications and additional information. Applications can also be picked up at Past Times Antiques on the Square in Covington. Deadline to enter is January 21st.
Chocolate Tour - February 11, 2012 (Saturday) - Participating merchants on the Square will be serving chocolate treats. Tickets are $5.00 to win a large basket of chocolates at the end of the day. Tickets will be punched at each participating store in order to enter the drawing. All proceeds from ticket sales goes to the Covington Economic Development Corporation, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization.

The Tipton County Tennessee Street and Road Mapbook Now Available...The Updated 2011 Tipton County Tennessee Street and Road Mapbook has been posted on the Tipton County Government Website for download created by Tipton County GIS in cooperation with the Tipton County 911 Office. The Tipton County 911 Office will no longer produce paper copies of the mapbook and is only available through the internet. There are two versions available and each includes a road/map index with zip code jurisdictions. Download times will vary because of your speed connection.
