IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This scholarship is brought to you by the Tipton County Scholarship Committee, County Executive Mayor Jeff Huffman, the Tipton County Commission, and Unilever, Inc. in efforts to assist Tipton County High School Seniors in their pursuit of a post-secondary education. This is a $2,000.00 scholarship divided into four semesters or five trimesters (at TCAT).  Students at community colleges or four-year colleges will receive $500.00 per semester for a total of four semesters if they maintain their eligibility.  TCAT students will receive $400.00 per trimester for five trimesters if they maintain their eligibility.  It is the student’s responsibility to renew the scholarship each semester.

Students must apply during their senior year to be eligible.  June 15th of the year of high school graduation is the deadline to apply.

Eligibility Requirements:

Submit all supporting Documents

Live in Tipton County TN

Graduate from a Tipton County High School or eligible home school

Attend an eligible post-secondary institution

Have a 2.0 GPA in high school and maintain a 2.0 GPA during college

Eligible institutions include the following:

Austin Peay State University                             East Tennessee State University

Middle Tennessee State University                Tennessee State University

The University of Memphis                                 University of Tennessee Chattanooga

University of Tennessee Knoxville                  University of Tennessee Martin

Dyersburg State Community College             Jackson State Community College

Southwest Tennessee Community College  Tennessee Tech University

Any Tennessee College of Applied Technology

You will be required to submit and/or complete the following along with your application.

FAFSA must be completed when this application is submitted.

Acceptance Letter- This is usually mailed to you. Some schools also email you an acceptance. Simply print and submit to scholarship@tiptonco.com. We only need a copy of the letter, not the original. If you are attending a TCAT, ask them to email us a brief statement or letter proving your enrollment.

If you are awarded the Tipton County Scholarship, you will need to submit a copy of your class schedule for each semester/trimester. It will be your responsibility to email your schedule to scholarship@tiptonco.com each semester by September 1st for fall and January 5th for spring in order to receive funds for the upcoming semester. Please use “Tipton County Scholarship” in the subject line when you send any correspondence and schedule.

Failure to submit the required documents by the deadline will immediately make you ineligible.
