Tipton County recognizes the importance of a strong workforce. In response to this need, we are focusing on strengthening our labor force and raising educational attainment and skill training in Tipton County. The state of Tennessee has made post secondary education available to all TN residents through TN Promise and TN Reconnect. Tipton County is taking advantage of this opportunity and through a focused effort has raised its college going rate and FAFSA filing. We have also implemented a career readiness class in all of our county high schools. We take a cradle to career approach to workforce development. One of our strongest results is a 62% increase in the number of students enrolling in dual enrollment for technical training. For more information on these efforts, contact Duane Lavery or Robin Sealy.
